Rick brings to NCEAS a
background in spatial data analysis, software development, and
technical training developed during 20 years working in the software
and engineering consulting industries. He is fluent in several
high-level programming languages (such as C++) as well as 4GL scripting
components of modern statistical and analytical software packages
(including SAS, R, and ArcMap GIS) and Web development tools. His
geospatial analysis skills include satellite image analysis, spatial
statistics, and spatial simulation and optimization models.
Rick can assist you and/or
your Working Group select, understand, and use software tools as well
as identify and acquire digital geographic data sets such as climate,
remote sensing, and terrain, for many spatially-oriented scientific
computing tasks.
